You should find out where they live and go to their homes. Hang out, offer to clean the gutters or fix the plumbing.

Jobs suck.

I like you just want to write. Unfortunately, there are no ads in the paper that say,

"Writer wanted. Add that ...Word,
job-hunting is always so stressful. Add that 95% of companies are a glorified step above pyramid schemes in terms of their drive to bring in cash and their management skills... and you've got a whole lot of incompetent morons managing moneymaking machines. Poorly.
So flattered that your read my blog. To respond, artist colonies are alive and well, and we are a diverse bunch-- the prerequisite is pretty much that we all "get along" and have similar views on social ideals. It's pretty Utopian, I know, but I think it will work out.
FYI, I have a seemingly incongruent love of "black" music which is why I post about hiphop. Here's my music player right now: Sly & the Fam, Arrested Development, Pharcyde, Zap Mama, The Roots... I don't know why, but this is what I love to hear. I feel I sometimes lack credibility being a farm girl, but I don't care. I love it.Kim DeBarge, staff writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10055739431130919608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629697885803683050.post-78625904549263663362007-08-11T00:44:00.000-07:002007-08-11T00:44:00.000-07:00Good luck on the job search. In an effort to cheer ...Good luck on the job search.

In an effort to cheer you up a bit:

You have been given an award.

Tag you're it!

The scientifically impossible I do right away
The spiritually miraculous takes a bit longerAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629697885803683050.post-57582724773036492742007-08-10T14:41:00.000-07:002007-08-10T14:41:00.000-07:00Hey, Man-The one thing I have learned about gettin...Hey, Man-

The one thing I have learned about getting a job is that the most persistent applicant is usually the one that is hired.

Sometimes we think that calling back 12 times is annoying. Hell yeah it is! The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

So if they say they are calling you back, don't wait for them to call. call the next day. Twice. And the next day. And the next day. Until they hire you, or they tell you to buzz off.

The point is, if you don't want to put this effort in, is the job really worth it? And to the employers, it shows that you are serious about getting what you want.

So there it is. Be relentless, and don't forget to ask the universe (pray) for exactly what you want. If you aren't specific, how can you get what you want?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
